Review

This story is chock-full of emotion and drama, along with the feel-good factor at the end. Tia is trying to get her life back on track and the tone of the book reflects the issues she faced and is still facing. Not a light-hearted read, this is more of a serious romance, with some quite heavy themes, but it was a delight to see the main characters work through their problems, even if they weren't all resolved.

I would say that this book isn't just for Christmas, as the majority of it takes place outside of the festive season, but the climax occurs at Christmas as does the resolution, so it was definitely hot chocolate and mince pies for the last few chapters.

The setting is glorious (I do love wild and windswept Wales) and the descriptions of the cottage and the surrounding area are lovely.
