A nice surprise!

I didn’t know this was happening, so it was a surprise when a fellow author pointed it out - my three Tenerife stories are now available as a complete set! Island Romance is priced at £3.99 and is out today on Amazon Kobo Google Apple and several more bookstores. That's over 800 pages of gorgeously uplifting romance set on a sun-spangled Spanish island.

What I've been cooking...

This doesn't look particularly appetising - but it tasted divine! I'm talking about my chicken and vegetable soup. It doesn't look the best and I could probably have done something about the presentation (I'm sure I've got parsley in the garden), but at the end of the day the only thing that really matters is what it tastes like, and this was gorgeous.

Anyone who has been following my blog for a while will know that I'm not a great one for sticking to a recipe, and for this soup I didn't bother with a recipe at all. You see, I had some leftover chicken from Sunday lunch, and I was determined not to waste it. I also had some sweet potato and butternut squash that needed using up, so I threw the vegetables in a pan, along with a chicken stock cube, an onion, a handful of frozen sweetcorn, minced garlic (because I'm lazy) and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. I boiled it all up, then blitzed it in the blender before adding the chicken and putting it back on the heat to simmer for a bit. And there you have it!

Have you got any favourite left-over recipes? If so, I'd love for you to send them to me. And if you like, as soon as I've got a few I'll do a little collage and share them in a post, so everyone can enjoy them.

What I've been reading...

Review

What a gorgeously slow burning will-they won't-they romance this is. It's funny, too.

I really felt for Cassie (not saying why - spoilers), and there is a more serious aspect to this story, but the overall tone is uplifting. I simply loved the first chapter, the drama and the cringeworthiness pulling me straight into the book, and once iI was in, I was hooked.

I also love a story where a character is out of their comfort zone and James is most definitely out of his! Snigger!!

This is a lighthearted read, with just the right amount of angst to flavour it, and plenty of romance.
