Flooding, dams and beavers

If you haven't already read it, you might be surprised to know that The Tanglewood Flower Shop features beavers, when Leanne is taken by Rex to a hide to view them after they were reintroduced into parts of Wales. There are several reasons for this (their reintroduction that is, not Leanne and Rex beaver watching) but one of them is that beaver activity can slow down the rate of flow in our waterways.
