The reasoning behind my review strategy

I was recently asked why I only give 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon.

The answer is quite simple - if a book doesn't grab me I rarely keep reading it to the end. And because I haven't finished it, I don't think it's fair to give it a review at all. Life is too short to read books that you don't engage with, so behind all the 4 and 5 star reviews you see on my public profiles, believe me, there are quite a few that I've started reading behind the scenes and have abandoned after a few chapters.

Anyway, the enjoyment of a book is such a subjective matter, that what I might struggle with, another reader might thoroughly enjoy.
