The Summer House in Santorini by Samantha Parks

Blurb

One summer in Greece will change everything…

Anna’s running away. From a failed relationship, a dead-end career and a complicated family life.

On the island of Santorini, with its picturesque villas, blue-tiled roofs, and the turquoise waters of the Aegean lapping at the white sand beaches, Anna inherits a less-than-picturesque summer house from her estranged father. As she rebuilds the house, she rebuilds her life, uncovering family secrets along the way that change everything. She starts to fall for her little slice of paradise, as well as for gorgeous, charming Nikos. Will Anna lose her heart in more ways than one?

Review

want to live in Anna’s little cottage. (I wouldn’t mind having a hunk like Nikos in my life either - just saying).

I’m always a sucker for new beginning type stories and this one was truly lovely. Not only was the setting glorious but the characters were great, too. Except for Marcus, but there has to be a bad guy, doesn’t there? The gradual building of the love interest between Anna and Nikos was delightful, and I kept urging Anna to see what was under her very nose and snap him up. The mystery regarding her father gave an added depth to the story, as did the getting to know her family.
