Hello, my lovely - I’m Lilac Mills (though you might also see me writing as Liz Davies or Etti Summers), and this little corner of the web is where I share bits of my life, my creative process, and stories that warm the heart.

Why I write

I believe in stories that make us feel and stories that remind us of hope, home, and the quiet magic in everyday moments. My work lives in the realm of uplifting, feel-good romance - the kind where community matters, secrets find resolution, and love heals.

My inspiration comes from a raft of sources, but especially from the beauty and wildness of the Welsh countryside, and the communities and people who live there.

I’ve been reading ever since I was five (starting with Noddy Goes to Toytown) and once tried to read the entire library in alphabetical order - a mission I didn’t quite complete, but one that shaped my love for stories.

About my books

So far, writing as Lilac Mills, I’ve published 21 novels (20 with Canelo) across multiple series. My current novel, Summer Escapes on the Scottish Isle, was released in July 2025, and I’m excited for my next one arriving in January 2026.

When I write, I think about familiar themes: second chances, found family, cosy villages, and the way nature frames everything. I also write under the pen names Liz Davies (contemporary feel-good romance) and Etti Summers (uplifting romantic novellas).
